Biography
Richard Tufts was one of the younger sons of Lieut. William Tufts and Mary Francis of Medford. The sources disagree on when he was born, and nothing more is yet known of his life.

Birth date: Cutter gives November 17, 1763. The Medford town record and Brooks give November 1765, with baptism on November 3. Brooks and this site give June 17, 1763, for his brother David, so Cutter may have confused the two. The 1765 date is preferred. His marriage, death and burial have not been found.
